Our Animal Friends
At St. John's, we know the importance of the animals and creatures with whom we share our lives, and we're also aware of the trust God gave humankind in caring for the creatures of the earth, and we take that trust seriously.
St. John's Wilmot Annual Blessing of the Animals
Every October, St. John's celebrates its annual Blessing of the Animals. The public is welcome to bring everything from dogs and cats, to rabbits and lizards for a special blessing by Rev. Dr. Hesse. Weather permitting, the service is held outside. Everyone and their pets are invited. The information is posted each year in our e-newsletter.
